Ghana COC certification

1. What is Ghana COC certification

Ghana COC stands for Certificate of Conformity COC. It is applied by exporters before shipment. COC certificate is used for customs clearance at the destination port by importers. The certification is the Ghana Standards Authority GSA.

A new customs clearance policy for the destination port is implemented. All controlled products under this project exported to Ghana must be subject to a mandatory COC certificate before customs clearance at the destination port. One COC corresponds to one shipment. COC is a one-time certificate. Each shipment of controlled goods must be applied for and must be applied for before shipment. Once shipped, it cannot be reissued. If the controlled goods fail to obtain a COC certificate in time, they will face a fine at the destination port.

2. Product COC certification process

a. Exporters submit certification application form (RFC)

b. COC National Office reviews certification application form/certification documents

c. COC National Office appoints designated inspectors to perform on-site inspections

d. Perform bulk sampling tests

e. COC National Office issues a certificate of conformity (CoC)

1. Provide product names in Chinese and English and customs codes (HS code)
